Our favorite winery of the day. We booked a little last minute so couldn’t do the tour w Blake (the Rhino). Instead we got a table with Heather inside & it was wonderful. We were still able to go out and see Blake & enjoy the delicious wine. Heather was so knowledgeable about not only the wines but also about Blake & their entire purpose. I was in the restaurant/bar industry for 17 yrs and sadly majority of the time I’m feeling empathic with staff VS being impressed. Not the case! It’s definitely on our go to list now!
Really great wine with awesome knowledgeable staff. Blake, the Rhino is so sweet. Their save the Rhino mission is a very nobel and worthy cause. David, the winemaker is one of the best, he is so talented with his craft. This is a must see and experience.

What an amazing place with such a noble cause! More people should know about it. I picked it from the overwhelming amount of local wineries for the rhino living at its premises. We couldn't decide which tasting to pick and did both without regrets. They have a wide selection of South African and Texan wines being presented by charming gentlemen. We weren't rushed to go through the list but had enough time to debate about the taste and enjoy the lovely outside area that neighbors the rhino's enclosure. It must be gorgeous after dark as they have lights hanging across the trees.
In the end, we decided to apply for the membership which gives you a lot of perks. You can pick the wine you want and it can be either shipped or picked up. You get 10% off the wine price also. And many more.
Lastly, there are a lot of plans for expanding the enclosure. The wine selection changes. Support rhinos whilst enjoying amazing wine!
When I think of AMAZING customer service and personalized experience, I will now associate that with the Rhinory. The service was just something you don’t get very often anymore! The wine tasting here was our favorite out of all the wineries we visited! Make sure you request Matt, he made our visit so fun and unique!! Mary also, had so much great information to share with us on their Rhino Blake, that we are now Rhino enthusiast and will now be looking in to how to give back to the conservation to the species! Definitely one of the best wineries I have visited to date!! If you are in the are you cannot leave without visiting them!
They are a must if you visit the hill country. Wine and rhinos! What else can you ask for ? The staff is great and knowledgeable. Blake the rhino is so adorable. Our server Heather was the nicest and so knowledgeable about the wine selection.
Really neat place. They do have a southern white rhino Blake. The staff was really nice they offered us a taste of their white white on our way to see the Rhino. The lady was very informative about Blake he was born in Texas. If in Fredericksburg, I highly suggest this place. My mom and I bought shirts. They give money to the International Rhinos to help save and increase the population.
